Chris Cardillo

Live music go-to-market from someone who's sat on every side of the deal.

I ran a venue. I sold ticketing for DICE and Eventbrite. I've closed partnerships with labels, agencies, promoters and brands for the better part of two decades. Now I help companies in and around live music find the right partners and make deals that hold.

What I do

Go-to-market & partnerships sprint

Four to eight weeks to define who you sell to in live music, what you say, and what the deal looks like. Ends with a named target list and the first meetings booked, with me in the room.

For ticketing and live-music tech entering or expanding in North America, and venue groups building a partnerships function.

Fractional head of partnerships

One or two days a week, embedded. I run the pipeline, coach the team, and leave behind a playbook and a hiring spec for the full-time person.

For post-seed to Series B companies that need the function before they can justify the hire.

Ticketing deal advisory

Choosing or renegotiating a ticketing partner: the RFP, the term sheet, advance and royalty structures, exclusivity and continuity terms. I know what the platforms will actually give, because I've been the one giving it.

For venues, promoters and festivals facing a renewal or a switch.

Advisory

A standing call, a second set of eyes on deals and decks, and introductions when they matter. Cash retainer or advisor equity for early-stage teams.

For founders and GMs who want a senior operator in their corner. Also: commercial diligence for investors, panel moderation and speaking.

Who I work with

Ticketing & live-music tech

Platforms, fan-data, payments and discovery products that need venue and promoter distribution and a credible face in the market.

Venues, venue groups & promoters

Operators choosing a ticketing partner, growing from one room to a network, or building revenue beyond the door.

Festivals & brands

Producers who need better ticketing economics and brand partners; brands that want a real foothold in live music, not a logo on a banner.

Investors

Funds and acquirers who need commercial diligence, a market map, or an operator on the board.

Also

Strategic advisor to Live Music Society, a nonprofit funding and championing small independent venues, and to Green Disco, which builds sustainability partnerships for live events and festivals.

I play rhythm guitar and sing, which is how all of this started. Based in Greater Philadelphia, at home in New York, Los Angeles and London, and on a plane more often than not.
